We're excited to announce that Sunnyside is now available for iPhone and Android on the App Store and Google Play!
Based on feedback from members like you, our new mobile apps provide an easier way to track drinks, update daily targets, see your progress, connect with other members, and participate in fun challenges. Download the apps now to check them out!
Sunnyside's mobile app is a companion to our existing text message-based experience. When you text us to track a drink, we'll update your tracking, target, and progress data in real time so you're always in sync. With the app, you get access to an on-demand view of your history and progress, making it easier to understand patterns and take steps toward healthier drinking goals.
Clicking links from your text message thread will take you seamlessly into the app experience. The texts and app complement each other and make the overall experience of Sunnyside even better:
The App has five main sections; Profile, Tracking, Progress, Community, Challenges and Coaching. Keep reading for a rundown of these awesome features.
Tracking
On the Tracking tab, you can easily track drinks for the current day, correct previous days, and repair your tracking streak. You can also update your drink targets for the current week by simply tapping the target column. In addition, you can add a note to the day, to reflect on your experience.
Progress
The Progress tab gives you on-demand access to your dashboard, where you can visualize the impact mindful drinking has on your health and lifestyle. We measure progress in drink dollars saved, sleep nights added and calories avoided. In addition, we pick up trends directly from your drink tracking history. Progress is customizable; you can change the averages used and hide calories—if you wish!
Community
Our in-app community is a thing to rave about. Here, members are united around a daily prompt, which they can respond to **publicly or privately**. You set your own username and with it you can post to your peers for advice and encouragement or leave inspiration and love for others. You can also choose to keep all your posts private and reflect by yourself. Your community settings are customizable and you can choose to share your tracking data, top goal and age to find others like you.
At the very least, we recommend giving some of the messages a read, they are beautiful, motivating and inspiring!
Challenges
Want to gamify your experience with Sunnyside? Consider joining a tracking challenge. Challenges last 30 days and are a great way to solidify your tracking habit if you’re new, or rejuvenate your tracking habit if you’ve been with us a while. Challenges include an elevated text experience, multiple challenge options, and the ability to see stats around completed challenges.
In a challenge, you’re competing against yourself, attempting to beat your personal best but you can invite friends to join you and do a challenge of their own. Studies show accountability buddies are effective in reaching personal goals.
Coaching
Our coaches are available via text from 9 AM EST to 1 AM EST. Not sure what to send? We have some conversation starters in the app. What’s more, they lead you right to your message inbox. All you have to do is hit “send”. Coaching can be a valuable tool in reaching your goal. Whether you attend our new user meetings, premium coaching meetings or chat with coaches online, the extra support and guidance can boost your success. Profile
Don’t forget to customize your profile in areas such as; notification settings, phone number and timezone, subscription type, baselines, long-term drink targets, focus areas, and goals. As you modify your targets and goals, your weekly plan recommendations will adapt to your preferences, giving you an experience that's deeply personalized to you:

Frequently Asked Questions
Does texting still work?
Yes! Think of the app as a complement and companion to the existing text message experience you're used to. You can still use all of the text commands to track drinks, change your plan, and correct your tracking. The app provides an alternative to these commands and is especially useful for trickier things like catching up on multiple days of tracking or changing your weekly and daily targets.
Can I chat with my coach in the app?
For now, we've made the decision to keep the human coaching part of the experience exclusive to text messaging, so you won't find your coaching conversations in the app today. That said, you can use any of our available prompts to begin a text conversation with a member of our empathetic coaching team. Your coaches are still available via text message 7 days a week, so continue to work with them as you always have!
Now that you have an app, will I receive fewer texts?
The profile section of the app allows you to customize your notification experience. You can turn certain messages off and on, edit the time you receive them, and select which mode of communication you prefer for each message. You can even opt to receive only push notifications, rather than text messages. With that option, we'll only text you when you text us. This is another great way to customize your Sunnyside experience.
