Winter Mocktails for your Dry(ish) January

As the weather gets colder, you might find yourself prepping for parties or extended time alone — both can make mindful drinking challenging. One surefire way to drink in a more health-conscious manner is to always have a mocktail or two on hand that you can tag in to replace an alcoholic beverage. 

Here are five winter mocktail recipes that you can enjoy during the colder months:


Cranberry Sparkler:

  • 2 oz cranberry juice

  • 2 oz sparkling water

  • 1 oz orange juice

  • 1/2 oz lime juice

  • 1/2 oz simple syrup (optional)

  • Ice

Garnish with fresh cranberries and a rosemary sprig!


Apple Cider Fizz

  • 2 oz apple cider

  • 2 oz ginger ale

  • 1/2 oz lemon juice

  • Ice

Garnish with apple slices and a cinnamon stick.

 

 


Winter Citrus Punch

  • 2 oz orange juice

  • 1 oz grapefruit juice

  • 1 oz lemon juice

  • 1/2 oz honey

  • 2 oz sparkling water

  • Ice

Garnish with citrus slices.

 

Spiced Chai Tea

  • 6 oz brewed chai tea, cooled

  • 2 oz milk (dairy or non-dairy)

  • 1/2 oz honey or maple syrup

  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

  • Ice

Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

 

 


Peppermint Hot Chocolate

  • 8 oz hot chocolate (made with cocoa and milk)

  • 1/2 oz peppermint extract

  • Whipped cream

Garnish with crushed candy canes.
